Crapouillots are made by Pascal Duforest, chocolate maker.
Created in homage to the dead of the Great War, these delicious sweets take their name from the Crapouillot, a small stocky cannon in the shape of a toad, which finds its origins in the 15th century. These 58 mm mortars were used successfully in the trenches of the First World War.
